One of the most popular and affordable solutions to increase the energy efficiency of a building is the use of insulating material for its cladding. Ventilated facades are a winning solution because of their technology: they do not only include a layer of insulation, but also provide a ventilated space between the thermal insulation layer and the building envelope to increase the efficiency of the insulation. Due to the constant movement of air in the ventilated space, moisture is removed naturally and does not harm the insulation layer.

As for the appearance of buildings with a curtain-type, rear-ventilated façade, it is often one of the determining factors. Because sometimes it happens that the building needs to fit harmoniously into a particular architectural development, and for this its appearance must meet certain aesthetic criteria. But combining these elements into a certified system is a more time-consuming and responsible process.

The developer of the system creates albums of technical solutions, substantiates the developed fastening nodes of the system by calculations taking into account the wind loads and self-weight of the system and tests the assembled fragments of the ventilated facade. The system designer ensures that the system uses certified components.

To confirm the safety of the ventilated façade system, the developer applies to the certification body for a technical assessment of the suitability of the ventilated façade system for cladding the walls of the buildings.

The positive result of this expert work is the issue of a Technical Certificate for the system, on the basis of which a Declaration of Conformity of the system with the safety requirements of technical regulations TP 2009/013/BY is issued.

The presence of a technical certificate for a ventilated façade system and a declaration is a mandatory requirement. Only certified ventilated façade solutions should be chosen.
